The MSCI BRIC Index is a free float-adjusted market capitalization weighted index that is designed to measure the equity market performance across the following 4 Emerging Markets country indexes: Brazil, Russia, India and China. With 863 constituents, Fact Sheet as of 12/31/2019 The iShares MSCI BRIC ETF seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of Chinese equities that are available to international investors, and Brazilian, Russian, and Indian equities. The MSCI EM Beyond BRIC Index is designed to provide a broad measure of the performance of emerging market equities outside of the BRIC markets – Brazil, Russia, India and China. In addition, to provide greater country diversification, the weight of each single country is capped on a quarterly basis at 15%. The MSCI USA with BRIC Exposure Index is derived from the MSCI USA Index, its parent index. Following a review of the geographic distribution of revenues for each company in the MSCI USA Index, the top-ranked constituents with the highest proportion of revenues derived from BRIC countries are selected for the MSCI USA with BRIC Exposure Index.
